Parades and Fall

A book fair. A parade. A movie marathon.

Could you possible imagine a better weekend? Yeah, me either.

On Saturday, three members of The Quad and I ventured on down to the last weekend of the infamous Green Valley Book Fair to find ourselves some great books.

We also found ourselves taking not one, but two trips to different Wal-marts to try and find ping pong paddles. Because what Wal-mart sells ping pong balls, but no paddles?

In celebration of Bridgewater’s 175th birthday and Labor Day, Bridgewater had  a huge carnival/parade/firework extravaganza over the weekend.

The parade marched right in front of our dorm and we grabbed the best seats in the house-- along the brick BC wall that runs in front of our dorm!

And of course, Eagle Productions couldn’t leave us hanging.  Had to try our luck at Hula Bingo (there was a bet riding on a win) and try some ice-cream fresh from a gutter.

Sunday brought a lazy day (thanks to homework being finished on Saturday), full of movies (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Juno and 27 Dresses).

The best part of the weekend, however, had to have been the weather! It was in the 70’s and we were loving it!

Remember, we have no AC and reside on the third floor! It is hot, hot, hot even with fans and windows up constantly. So it was a nice change to sleep under the covers for once. And to wear jeans! How I’ve missed them!

Bring on the fall!
