The Beach, Photos & Friends

I promised more pictures from my trip to Virginia Beach on Wednesday and you can see that that obviously didn’t happen. As we get closer and closer to the conclusion of summer, the weeks seem to fly by even faster.

The beginning of my week was swept away by the broom of my new favorite book—The Help. An upcoming post will be devoted to this awesome, life-changing, must read novel.

The second half of my week was consumed with the beginning stages of packing myself back up for my sophomore year of college. I completely unpacked which was a chore in and of itself. I spent my Thursday afternoon regretting not having done it sooner, you know when I got home,—especially when I stumbled upon a banana tucked into a bag that was leftover from a May breakfast three months ago. Yes, it was as lovely as you’re imagining right now.

But alas, I am completely unpacked with just 16 days before I will be unpacking once more—this time beside of my roomie in our new dorm room.

And now I will get myself back on topic here and return to the real reason for this post—pictures. DSC_0147 copyDSC_0143 copy1DSC_0150 copy2

This last picture is of our host, Zach.

When I was brainstorming this post earlier this evening, I was trying to remember exactly how I met Zach, but for the life of me, I cannot seem to remember when the formal introductions took place.

I do, however, remember that the first time we ever hung out was when he played Prince William for our little adaptation of the Royal Wedding proposal. And that’s when I knew that Zach was one of the funniest, sweetest, and most genuine guys that I had met at Bridgewater to date. He had no problem stepping up to help a group of giggling girls who just happened to be on a mission. And when I say he was funny, I mean he was sarcastic, did these hilarious impersonations and had me doubling over in laughter every time I turned around. Besides my roommate, he is the only other person who can make me laugh that hard.

And that was only the beginning of my friendship with Zach. Just like that he became one of my most favorite people and a regular fixture in my life at BC : another homework buddy in the Link, our creeper in the KCC (these missions were reciprocated on our parts, too!), Relay for Life teammate, and fellow Twitter-er.

I am so glad that Zach agreed to our crazy plan so many months ago and I cannot wait to see what shenanigans we get into this year—partying it up with milk, cause that’s how we do it at Bridgewater according to him.

Just goes to show you what kind of friendships you can make when you make crazy, random requests of others :)

    Two: Yes. It. Was. Awful.
