Some days I wake up with this irresistible urge to write. Today was one of those days.
But by the time that I finally pulled myself out of bed (at nearly noon—this weekend took it out of me, lemme tell you!) and sat down to write, all I could think about was two of my friends and the struggles that they are facing just a week into our freshman summer. Where we would normally all be able to pile into a room and dissect every inch of someone’s latest dilemma, that’s nearly impossible with everyone scattered across the Eastern seaboard. So we take to the modern technologies that some brilliant men and women have blessed us with—Skype. Those few moments, our faces squished together on a computer screen, makes everything feel back to normal—complete, whole. I love it.
Besides writing, another thing that I’ve fallen back into now that my days are temporarily blank slates, is photography. Last Thursday on the little sister’s birthday, I got a few great pictures of the birthday girl in all her glory.
These two happen to be my favorite; there’s just something so raw and real about them that I absolutely love.
I’ve gotten my blogging itch out, now onto curing my baby itch—babysitting time!
Happy Monday all my lovely bloggie readers! :)
