Loverboy, Working for the Weekend
The unzipped zipper. The spinach between the teeth. A mess up during a big presentation at work. We’ve all done something embarrassing at some point in our lives. It probably only lasted a mere seconds, but felt like a lifetime. And whether big or small, years later you still relieve it, horrified as you watch it play through in your mind. And if you’re lucky, if you’re extremely lucky, you laugh.
Well for Miss Hannah’s little sister, it’s too early to laugh. Last night was our school’s program for fall athletes. As varsity cheerleaders the girls performed a dance to open it all up. Now, Bekah has lots of experience with dance….nearly ten years, actually. But last night, was not Bekah’s night. In the first row, Bekah was front and center when she had her, um, embarrassing moment. It’s probably not as bad as you’re thinking. She didn’t fall or trip or anything. For all of five seconds Bekah forgot what she was doing and froze. Only a handful of onlookers really noticed and afterwards the girls laughed about it with their coaches. But for Bekah she’ll always remember the way her face burned and the look of my mother’s face. And maybe, twenty years from now she’ll laugh. (Actually, I know she will because a boy had her laughing about it yesterday!)
So for “Your Turn Tuesday” what’s an embarrassing moment that you’ve never forgotten? It’s Your Turn…talk to me. (That means leave a comment…yes, I’m talking to you!)

ReplyDeleteI needed to tell Morgan's cheer coach something and decided i would send her and email... i found an earlier one that she had sent to the team and hit the "Reply.." button... typed my somewhat personal email and hit send... nothing bad about that, right??... the reply button that i hit was the "Reply to All" button... and so my personal email to the coach was sent to over 30 people... yelling at the computer to "Stop, Stop, Please Stop" doesn't work... i hate technology...
