Beef Stew

Today is going to be a beef stew kind of post—a random assortment of pictures and music and little blurbs about what I’ve been up to lately.

FBLA State’s: If you’ve been here for awhile, you know about my love for Future Business Leaders of America. From the friends I made, the real-world business skills I developed, and the awesome destinations I visited, I gained so much from FBLA during my time in high school Unfortunately BC doesn’t have a chapter, so when I was invited to chaperone my old high school’s trip to state’s a couple of weeks ago, I jumped at the chance to be able to be back at one of the places I feel most comfortable.

I absolutely love the people who run Virginia FBLA-PBL and the added bonus of seeing some of my favorites (because they love FBLA just as much!) was a plus! I had a great time even though it was quite different from the days when I was surrounded by all my FBLA buddies and we were swamped with competition preparation and stress.

Rainy Days: It being spring and all, it has been quite rainy around these here parts. B, T and I got caught in a massive downpour last week on our dash from my car to the dorm. And I mean massive: jeans soaked, hair looking like a wet rat’s. The picture says it all.

Relay for Life: We had our Relay last weekend—more on this tomorrow!! :)

Music, music, music: “Jesus-is-my-friend” music as my roomie calls it has been dominating my playlist thanks in large part to CruiseMan3000.  And I’m always looking for more; a couple of these were actually suggestions from other bloggie friends :)

Here are a few of my current favorites:

Twitter: Speaking of CruiseMan3000, tweet me! I’ve been tweeting for awhile—with my wonderful bloggie friends—but recently my tweetlife has begun to connect with my real life and it’s so much fun! Come find me misshannahdove :)

Blogging: Thank you so much for your support!! I love blogging so much. When I told my roomie what I was thinking, she yelled at me—in a nice way. She told me I loved it too much to give it up and that it kept me sane. And I would have to agree with her. So I’m happy to say I’m still alive and kicking here in the blogiverse, however, I am still dabbling in the idea of starting a new blog elsewhere.

I betcha my beef stew has ya full, doesn’t it?!
