The Key to . . . Being Snowed In (Days 1-3)

Well the weather man was right. Between Friday morning and Saturday afternoon, Mother Nature dumped nearly 30 inches of snow on us! That’s right 30! 2 and a half feet. That’s A LOT of snow.

Our backyard went from this, Friday morning (Watch as the fence slowly disappears from view!):

And to finally to this, Saturday afternoon (No more fence!):

It was definitely quite a snowstorm.

I’ve baked, and napped, and watched movies, and read, and played Mad Gab, and had neighborhood friends over, and done homework, and worked on FBLA stuff (Wiggio.com is the coolest thing since Skype!).

The snow has stopped falling(for the moment!), so the neighbors started digging out, though no one ventured out. We slid down the plow’s snow piles and a few hilly, snow-covered roads before running back inside for warmth and cookies. They’ve already cancelled school for Monday and Tuesday, but with another 6-12 incher heading for us Tuesday, it’s not likely we’ll be back to school before Thursday.

But have no fear teachers, you can still give us lots of homework via Edline.net, to keep us plenty busy over these next few days. And I really don’t mind teaching myself complete lessons in AP Calc, it keeps me from being B-O-R-E-D!
