Though This Feeling I Can’t Change

But please don’t take it badly,
cause lord knows I’m to blame

               Lynyrd  Skynrd, Freebird

While my mother’s sisters indulged their own musical preferences at the Lyntrd Skynrd/Kid Rock concert on Saturday, we were left on baby duty…much to my pleasure!

Cate and Emmie immediately headed to Bekah’s room to play with Polly Pockets both big and small.DSC_0018 copyAnd Mom and I had ourselves some baby time! Eli is just four months, but he’s already got quite the personality. He’s a walker and a talker and a big smile-er!DSC_0023Then while Elver napped, the girls and I launched a water gun attack on each other in the side yard. It quickly took a turn for the worst when Bekah and Emmie decided to team up on Cate.

The girls discussing their plans…DSC_0074DSC_0076DSC_0079DSC_0080DSC_0082While at first she was a little mad, Cate quickly realized that her “gun” was much larger then theirs!   DSC_0085 DSC_0083 DSC_0084 After their mini-war, Emmie and Cate were ready for water balloons, but being sisters, the task of filling the balloons was less then simple. And once again Cate used the hose on the girls…DSC_0116DSC_0117 DSC_0118 DSC_0110 After drying off and watching a little bit of iCarly we had dinner and settled in for the night, including baths, lotion time, and reading. Everyone slept for a good ten hours and when we got up we were treated to pancakes and fruit. And then, ready for more, we played dress-up.

By one everyone had crashed in the living room, beneath covers, and while Cate napped we watched movies until it was time for the girls to go home. It was a great weekend and I enjoyed every minute with the girls and Eli!
