With a new blogging adventure comes a new semester. My second semester of college.
First days are always stressful. From finding classrooms, to looking for familiar faces amongst a sea of semi-strangers, and shuffling through those first day activities like ice breakers. Yes, my friends, ice breakers don’t stop in high school.
But those first days are also a new beginning. A chance to start fresh in your new classes and with new people; yet another opportunity for you to expand your horizons and grow.
And the wonderful thing about college is you get two first days each semester. So two days worth of ice breakers and two days worth of beginning-horizon-expanding.
So, as Wednesday approaches, I begin my descent into two days worth of first days. My goal this semester? Make a friend in each class; five new friends at least. Let’s see how it goes!
Tomorrow will be full of organizing my lovely new textbooks (which cost way too much!) and a trip to Wal-Mart for new supplies—the best part of first days!!
To all of you who have recently started/starting your new semester—good luck! I’m thinking of you!
